My name is Attila Ortaç. I am a self-taught photographer. The magic aura of photographs has fascinated me ever since my earliest childhood. The very first pictures I held in my hands at the age of five was a children's book with little text but brightly colored photographs showing a little boy with colorful balloons in his hand. It was the beginning of my love of photography.
Photography is my passion and has been with me for most of my life. It all started with an analog Canon AE1 reflex camera equipped with a 50mm prime lens. Henceforth, I began to capture the world around me and tried to create captivating images.
My change to digital photography started in 2006 with a Nikon D50, which I bought at the time together with an inexpensive 18-55 mm kit lens. Since then, I have photographed with various systems such as full-frame cameras from Canon and Leica, but also with Fuji X cameras. A heavily equipped photo bag can literally be a burden, which is why I often just use my iPhone. My latest acquisition is a Fujifilm X-T 5 mirrorless camera, which I'm currently trying out. I usually edit my photos with Lightroom and Capture One Pro.
Four of my favorite photographers who have inspired me over the course of my productive period are William Eggleston, Anselm Adams, Ara Güler and Vivian Maier.
My photos are taken on travel, as well as in everyday life.
I get my inspiration from the attendant obliviousness and inner peace going along by the search of motives. The ever-changing sight and perspectives, the light.
I am glad if my pictures tell stories that touch the hearts of the viewers and leave a lasting impression.
Thank you for visiting my website!
“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved."
